I have a a very nice "White" sewing machine, like new and barely used, along with a bunch of threads and sewing gear which I can't use following an accident a couple of years ago which has compromised (amongst other things) the dexterity in my fingers.
Here's the proposal. If you can use a machine I'd like to give it to you and, in return, if you can make me something very simple once in a rare while, I'll be a happy camper!

I'm interested OT but can't sew worth a hill of beans.
I'd like to learn to do simple things like sew a straight line, hem curtains, replace zippers, make curtains, etc.
Making cushion covers may be way out of my league.
Call me.

Thanks, Alana, but I'm really more interested in having it go to someone who knows how to use it. I have a couple of pieces of nice material (Indian saris, actually) I'd like made into very simple tops and drawstrng pants in exchange. It's frustrating not to be able to do it! :X
