On the western end of the island of St Croix;
We have a wonderful 2000 sq ft 4 bedroom 2 bathroom house that will be available for either short term vacation rental, PMV's, or longer term leasing October 1st.
The house is perched on a large flat ledge, high up the western face of a mountain hillside, a few miles north-east of Frederiksted Town...fantastic sea and beach area views to the west, pastoral valleys below, and rain forest hillsides elsewhere.
The sunsets are most spectacular!
Nature is much closer than the closest of neighbors...we have more deer then people!
There are two lesser mountain ridges to the north and the south that protect and insulate the property from most all tropical storms.
Located within a privately gated property, surrounded with hundreds of acres of island fields, bush, flowering plants, flamboyants, palm and trees of all types.
There is a small orchard area accessible by stairs from the driveway, just below the house with several types of mangoes, Cruzan oranges, coconuts and limes...which attract several local deer that seem to call this area home too!
In addition to the orchard area, there are two large clusters of sweet bananas!
The house has just completed a full multi year restoration and rejuvenation to a fresh and modern open style home with views from most every room toward the sea or the rain forest.
The house is extremely energy efficient with CFL and LED lighting, utilitiy timers, gas appliances, and lots of natural lighting.
The interior additionally is varnished "floor to cathedral ceiling" cypress planking throughout the house, for a very relaxed and cozy "national park like" feeling.
Nicely and neatly furnished with new sofas, leather lounge chairs, ottomans and kitchen appliances.
There is a huge stainless steel and granite chef's kitchen, gas range with grill, stainless steel side by side refrigerator with ice and filter water thought he door...custom ceiling lighting and under-counter illumination.
The entry parlor guides you into the fully open kitchen, dining, living, TV lounge and game table room.
There is in addition to the 4 bedrooms (master king with in suite bathroom, bunk bed room, queen guest bedroom and single guest room) a nice comfortable office plus a modern tiled guest bathroom...there is a futon plus a sofa bed for additional guests!
All rooms, including the kitchen and bathrooms, have ceiling fans in addition to the master suite being air conditioned.
There is another large air conditioner in the open living area...but we rarely use it due to the large number of full opening custom windows that cover the whole front of the house plus WAPA calls to thank us for turning it on!
The house also has a large tile and wall enclosed patio plus wooden decks for viewing the sea to the west.
If all goes well the deck may soon have a unique and useful "conversation and lounging pool"...just waiting for the contractors!
Large gas Bar B Que, comfortable chairs, and umbrella table plus a few porch chairs.
There is high speed wireless DSL plus a large flat screen HDTV system with extended cable TV service, DVD player, and local area telephone provided.
The house is the last property on the mostly paved government road...so there is no passing traffic.
It is extremely quiet, very safe and secure.
Pets are allowed upon prior approval.
