Hi there. My name is Cindy and I am moving with a friend and 1 dog (10 lbs, housebroken) and 1 cat (declawed) to STT within the next couple of months. We are looking for a 2 bdrm, 1 bath (or more) apt, condo or home for rent on preferably the East or South end of the island. We are looking to spend at most 1400.00 to 1700.00 a month on rent. We are in our 30s and both are masters degree educated. I will be working out of my home for a company based in the States. We are looking for a furnished place and I don't mind paying a pet deposit. The place must have internet accessibility. Does ANYONE know of a place that matches this description? Is this going to be really hard to find? Please help! Thanks!!!!

You can probably find such a place, but not from off-island. The landlord will want to see you and you will definitely want to see the house/apt.

My suggestion? Plan to leave the animals with friends. Move down, stay for a week or so at Villa Fairview or the like and find housing. Then send for or go back and get the pets.

Cindy I just emailed you but just in case you miss it--
Don't rule the apt out.

Used furniture is cheap and plentiful in summer.
Dog-friendly housing for less than $2000/month is not!

My apt was unfurnished when we moved here and we went straight to one of the furn stores and bought a mattress. The rest can come.

Good luck!

Good point. I just emailed the poster of the unfurnished place and asked for pictures. Thanks again
