Looking for a one or two bedroom apartment. I would like to be close to Cruz Bay with a budget of around $800-$950 including utilities. I can pay for Sept rent, although I will not arrive on island until Sept 29th. I have a friend on island that can arrange everything and come check it out.

You will be very fortunate indeed to find even a studio apartment on STJ at this price, with or without utilities. It's not impossible, but the rental housing market is tighter than ever as many landlords have converted their long-term rentals to short-term through AirB&B. Especially if "close to Cruz Bay" means walking distance, you may need to revise your budget upward by a few hundred bucks or look into getting a housemate.
