STX--need room to rent--emergency

I am an employed non-smoker with no kids and no pets. My so-called friend with whom I've been staying gave me a 30-day notice to vacate the room this morning (some friend, huh?) and since I didn't see this coming, I'm not in a position to pay first/last/security and utility deposits. What I need is a room or small, inexpensive apartment to rent, short term (paying weekly would be best) and close to public transportation/taxi, since I don't drive. If I'm paying weekly, with utilities included, then I can afford to pay up to $150/week. (I could probably manage 200, but it would be really tight.) Looking to move 10/15.
