If you live on St Croix, I have a solution for this problem. $370 installed. Includes cell phone repeater kit, PVC mast, mounting supplies and installation.

This device will get you 4 to 5 bars in your house, and will cover up to 3000 unobstructed square feet for service. I've installed in numerous homes and had excellent results in every location.

If you can get a signal outside your home, and you would like to be able to make and receive calls inside your home, give me a call at 860-933-9528, or PM me for details.

Hey Vic,
What brand are you using? My signal is marginal at my house and I have tried Z-boost and Wilson cell amps. The Wilson does a better job but it also cost more. I'm now also using a directional outdoor antenna instead of the omni.....

For those that are curious $370 installed is a good price. The key is "signal outside the house" to make it work.

I swear by the Zboost yx545. I source them from the states at a really reasonable price. You are absolutely correct. The key is professional site survey for signal and installation.

Sprint offers a local base station that uses a dsl line to give you great service in the house. Other carriers may also offer the same equipment.

But you need a dsl line.

For that matter, the new cell phone technology available lets certain models of phones create a mobile hot spot that will allow up to 5 wireless devices to connect wirelessly through your phone. The service is equal to or better than any of the local ISP speeds and reliability.

Requirements:

1) A cell phone that has a mobile hot spot utility. I just upgraded mine to a Motorola Atrix II. Best phone I've ever had.
2) You need a data package for your cell service.
3) A decent cell signal.

Imagine getting rid of your local ISP bill, having Internet wherever you go, and allowing up to 5 devices to connect to the Internet through your phone.

I just demoed my phone to the last repeater client I installed, and connected her laptop through my phone hot spot along with a kindle, and an MP3 player. She was so impressed that she used the Internet opportunity to go on line to ATT and upgrade her phone to have similar service.

I have had limited to no cellular service at my house for many more years than I wish to remember...then I saw an advert for the AirRave "Airvana" access point.
This is a device that is marketed by Sprint for their customers...and it is fantastic!
It is about the same size as a desktop modem...come complete with every thing necessary to make it work.
It took all of 5 minutes from time of opening box to plugging into power...then about 20 minutes to self program and become operational.
I now have an 8000 sq ft area with this unit as the center...connected to my DSL system and now have full bars where ever I go around my property.
Although 8000 ft sq sounds large, it is only about a 50 ft radius about the unit...but that is more than I need since my house is smaller than the 8000 sq feet...who cares!
The signal is in every room throughout the house...out onto the porch area and even into the driveway...more than I ever had before.
It comes from the supplier set at 5000 sq ft, but can be boosted to 8000 ft by a service call to SPRINT.
The best part of this device...it was supplied free of charge, service and even postage to me by Sprint.
It allows for any SPRINT or BOOST Mobile device to operate within its coverage area...and automatically trasnfers to the highest power adjoining cell tower if I should wander past my homes device limits...it is not a signal booster like those items from WILSON or other companies...it is my own personal cellular tower.
It works with my smart phone's vast array of applications, internet services, and every phone feature perfectly.
It will allow for simultanious usage of multiple cell phones.
Please PM for any questions that I could help you with...this is one great little unit for unrestricted and 1000% improvement in my cellual usage.
Could not be happier with it preformance and usage.
