I will arrive 4/4 and I am seeking a studio apartment on or withing walking distance of the beach, for just myself, no s/o, no pets, non smoker. I may have a guest for a week or less. I am a travel nurse and my assignment is for three months with a possibility to extend.

Good luck finding a place within walking distance to a beach. You will need transportation if you plan to live away from town and the hospital, which is located in town. If in town, you have a bus route to get around. But there are no beaches located close to the hospital. Have you been to St. Thomas before and familiar with the island? The best place to check is on Craigslist for apartments for rent or look on the Island trader on-line news paper where they have numerous rental possibilities that are broken down into different areas like North side, East Side. Also, if you check with the hospital, they usually have a list of landlords or apartments that specifically rent to traveling nurses.

Check for units at Sapphire Village and Pools and Pavilions. Both places have short term (less than 6 months) rentals. And both are within walking distance to a beach.;) They are on the safari route, but having your own transportation makes things easier on this island.

I have a studio for 900/mt right by sapphire beach.. You can walk to the beach in five minutes and the safari bus can be caught at the end of our community gated driveway.
