Hand made, late 1700's, American, wool.
Some fading, typical of age.
Rug needs some repair as some of the weaving has pulled & there are tattered edges.
Incredible work, has the lion, deer, dove, fish, sun, moon, stars, flowers.
Completely reversible, design woven on both sides.
Colors are black background with pale pink & pale green tree/animals. Flowers are still bright red.
Very nice, true American antique. Rare.
