Wanted: Kayak or small boat (STT)

I just moved from St. Thomas from Utah for an internship and I will be living here for the next five months. I am wanting to get a small boat or kayak so I can get better access into some of the lagoons on the island to go fishing. I have done research and I know where I can go and where I cannot. I will only be here till the middle of May and at that point I will have to leave the kayak here. Money is extremely tight for me with how expensive the cost of living here is. I was wondering if anyone had a kayak or small boat that they would consider loaning, renting, or selling for very cheap. I don't need anything fancy, it really just has to float.

Sometimes, Kmart and Cost U less has them.
Ecotours on the East End in the lagoon does kayak tours and may have an old one to sell.
