Where can I find a used piano to buy?

I'm interested in buying a used piano. Does anybody have an idea of where I might be able to find one? Also, in the event that I actually find one, is there a certain company or individuals that I could hire to move it to my place? It's not going to be a piece of furniture, so I don't care what it looks like. It just needs to be in decent condition - preferably with a dehumidifier.

STX, right? Uniquities has had one for a few weeks. Don't have the phone book handy, but it's the consignment store in Peter's Rest. If you can't find it, PM me.

Thanks! I saw the one at Uniquities. She wants$500 for it, and it's in OK condition, but it will need quite a bit of work. I just wanted to see if there was anything else out there before I invest $500 + $$$ to make it workable.

After an item has been at Uniquities for a while, she can negotiate. The longer it's there, the more leeway she has. I could be wrong, but I think there's an actual schedule she uses as a guide for applying discounts. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks for the information. I didn't know if it would be rude to negotiate a price. She has some really cool items in there though! It's fun to just look around.

It's kind of expected in shops like that, and Petra, the owner is a sweetheart and wouldn't be insulted or anything. I'm not a good "negotiator". When my husband and I go to yard sales, we have a code. I say to him "I really like this." , then I walk away. He makes the offer. We've had a good time with it, and he's gotten us some good deals.

OK, I REALLY messed up! I waited for my husband's consent regarding the piano...and went to Uniquities today to buy the piano - and it was just SOLD! Boo hoo!

So, I'm still looking for a used piano. If anyone knows of someone who has a piano that's not being used - and needs some quick cash - please let me know.

You can also e-mail me directly at [email protected]

Thanks for any help you can lend.

i have a baldwin studio upright in very good condition. i'm moving to PR June 1st and have to sell it.
I recently installed all new hammers and shanks specifically designed for humid climates and i tune it myself.
i'm asking 3,200 but i'm willing to negotiate for somebody who will take good care of it.

I thought this was a little ironic, its from poster Number9

Very good condition, in-tune, best upright piano Baldwin makes.
I recently installed all new hammers and shanks specifically designed for humid climates.
I love this piano, but i'm moving to Puerto Rico and can't take it with me.
Selling for $3,200
On St. Croix
Email me at [email protected] for pictures

hope this helps
