Let's do a Saturday 7/9 hike to Annaly Bay. We can meet at Carambola's public lot at 8:00, do the hike, snorkel, swim, whatever, then come back to my house for a cookout/pool party- BYOB, hot dogs and hamburgers kind of thing and relax for a few hours. My house is on the north shore maybe twenty minutes east of Carambola, overlooking Salt River off the Scenic Drive. Teresa and Pam you are welcome to come too, as well as any of our St.Thomas friends; we can accomodate a few of you overnight. Respond on the board if you are interested and we'll put together directions, etc. Don't come without a camera, you will be kicking yourself. Rain date (serious rain only) will be Sunday 7/17.
FOG, HipCrip, are you out there? We'd love to meet you!
The voices on this board have provided aid and comfort for close to two years now... I'd love to thank you in person- and to meet our newest guests!
Eric

Even if no one comes, I'll always remember my first sticky! Thanks;-).

Alix Eek-a-beek!
Wayne
Steve
Eric
And we're heavily recruiting Ric and Adam and Val and Squeeterz!

This weekend I'm cramming for my real estate exam and house sitting in the rainforest so I'm afraid I can't make it.

I'd LOVE to come another time though!

Thanks guys

hey guys-

i'd love to come, but i work weekends at the airport. maybe i'll be able to get out of it. if i do, i'll let you know.

p.s. when you're just starting the trail to the bay, watch out of all of the hermit crabs. i did the hike a few weeks ago and the trail was packed full of them. i'm talking hundreds!!! it's hard to see some of them, but others will seem like the biggest you've ever seen.

It was wonderful. Not for the faint of heart - Literally. The first hill up from Carombola is a *it*h! And Adam was right about the Hermit crabs. I named it Hermit Crab Heaven. The footpath is sooo cool. The walk there was almost (if not as good as) as the bay and the tidal pools. And once we walked back to Carombola we took the jeep and went and found the road that leads to it.

The hike is easier than the drive. Trust me on this one. The drive takes just as long - and is tough.

But we did grab some trash from the shore - a broken chaise, some other small junk. Figured we might as well do out part since we had a vehicle to carry the stuff out with.

I have pictures I will post later - give me a couple days.

Awesome!
