Hey everyone! I am a personal trainer/former Division 1 Basketball Player/ Euro Professional Basketball Player and am relatively new to the island..have been here for a little over a month. I have been thinking about starting up some beach body group workouts but wanted to see if there was an interest first.

Ideally I would like to get between 5-10 individuals for an early morning class at a rate of $12/class.
The workouts would switch up weekly and would be a combination of strength training, cardio and abdominal work. Most of the workouts will be based off the Tabata style, which is proven to increase stamina, reduce body fat, and are very time efficient.

Would love to hear some feedback! Thanks!

Sounds interesting - would this be appropriate for all levels, beginners to advanced, etc?

yes, it would be appropriate for all levels! The programs I designed are all based on how hard you push your self and the results will come!!! I am really hoping we can get a group interested in starting this up?
PM me about your fitness levels and goals if you would like! Thanks!

I just found this forum and topic. Am relocating to STX , arriving this weekend. I've been trying to find a "bootcamp workout' , and I think you are describing it. I contacted Beeston Hill Fitness but they did not know what it is.
I have been doing it here in the NE for two years and would love to be able to continue.
We will be located on East end....can you let me know if this gets enough interest, I'd love to join!

Hi terryd,

I'm almost certain Beeston Hill does offer this "type" of class. The person who answers the phone just might not be familiar with the term "boot camp". You might call back and ask for the manager. Her name is Mae, and she's very helpful.

I'd be interested 2-3x/wk. Where on STX, though? I wouldn't want to haul out to F'sted in the morning.

Speaking of Beeston ... anyone know what memberships go for these days? (I know I can call, just thought I'd throw it out here, too.) Are there any other clubs on island? Is that place near Subway in Golden Rock still there?

Thanks.

I'm interested too. Would you do a monthly fee that is more economical than on individual classes?
