Are there any cribbage players out there who would be interested in getting some games going?

Chad,

Please tell me you're on STX!!

I'd love to find other cribbage players to get together for an occasional game (or marathon *hee hee*). My dad taught me to play when I was very young, but it's been years since I ran across others who know the game.

Great idea!

HC - I would... but I'll have to see how well I remember the game, too. It's been many years since I also used to play with my dad.

I believe that there is a scrabble club on stx - or if there isn't , there should be - what about starting a scrapbooking, a quilting, a knitting group...

I'd be much more likely to play a game of strategy than do a craft as a hobby. Even so, I always found Scrabble boring. Card games or trivia games are more entertaining for me.

There was a very nice attempt at getting a regular STX scrap booking group together late last year or early this one. However, Becky R, who attended, told me that after quite a few people expressed their interest in attending on the invitation that was posted here, only three people besides the hostess actually attended. As you might expect, the idea pretty much fizzled out after that.

Alexandra, you're on for sure if I am able to make it that day. Got so inspired by this post that I called my Dad tonight and asked him to bring the board we used when I was a kid down with him next week. A gorgeous beachfront location, new friends, and a vintage cribbage board sounds like a pretty decent way to spend some time.

We'll pick up a small lump of brain coral to hold down the cards so they don't fly away in the breeze!
