Is there anyone on this board who suffers from Fibromyalgia? If so, what can you tell me about symptoms and treatments as they relate to living in the VI or on STX? I'm very interested in learning all that I can and appreciate any comments.

Thank you,
Lisa

Lyceria and cymbalta help with the pain. Also look into LDN, (low dose naltrexone). An off label treatment tahat has helped me, especially with sleep. I have MS which began as fibro. It comes and goes. Cannabis can also help. What are the specific symptoms besides the pain?
I see Dr Babu over in Estate Glynn, a neurologist.

I have no problems with sleep, other than feeling achy and moving slowly when I wake up. I'm just hyper-sensitive to pain, and seem to be in pain more than I'm not. I've had neck, back, arm and hand pain for over ten years and very little makes it go away. I haven't had an official diagnosis, other than "maybe chronic pain". I can dope myself up with Tylenol with codeine and supplement with alcohol at night, but that's no way to live at 38-years-old. I'm already doing physical therapy again, which seems to be having no effect, and I'm seeing my GP here on Monday. If he has no suggestions, I was planning on trying the pain center here next. I've just been reading up online, and nearly all of the symptoms described seem to be exactly what I've been dealing with. I'm very discouraged and so tired of hurting all the time. I try not to complain to my husband, not only to avoid being annoying, but because I doubt he understands. Thanks for the suggestions, Bombi!

Bombi - So did Dr. Babu prescribe you 3mg of LDN? Where have you been able to get that filled?

After providing Dr Babu with conclusive information I convinced him to prescribe LDN at 4.5 mg before bed. It rally has improved my quality of life.
I have been using it for over a year with absolutely no side effects. When I first became aware of the benefits I used a consulting doctor to prescribe and monitor. The prescription is written to Skips Compounding pharmacy in Boca Ratan FL and mailed to me on STX.
Should you decide that it's for you I can fill you in on the particulars.

I would think that Dr. Babu could help. Stay strong and feel well.
