I will be working as an independent contractor (mostly) for a US based company, some of the work will be done from USVI, moving to STX soon, but I will also spend quite a bit of time back in the states, mostly in Indiana.  I haven't created my LLC yet, wondering if it makes more sense to form it in Indiana.  Does anyone know how that will be handled for tax purposes?  Will I need to register my business with the BIR?

"Navigating the logistics of forming an LLC when working across multiple locations can definitely be a bit complex. It’s great that you’re planning ahead! If you’re spending significant time in both Indiana and the USVI, it might be worth consulting a tax professional who can provide personalized advice. They can help you understand the implications for your LLC and ensure you're compliant with both states' regulations. Also, checking on the requirements for registering with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) in the USVI will be crucial. Best of luck with your move and new venture—sounds like an exciting opportunity ahead!"
