Happy holidays!

Has anyone heard of anything going on for New Year's Eve on St. Croix?

Thanks,
Doug

In my opinion, by FAR the best thing going is the Banooba show at Club 54. It is one hell of a party. Banooba comes down twice a year from New York and they have the largest following on STX with the possible exception of Kurt Schindler. They are awesome guys and great musicians and have been known to play for eight hours STRAIGHT at Club 54.

Banooba's myspace page is here: http://www.myspace.com/banooba

Cover charge depends. Usually it's $5 or $10 max. Sometimes, there is no cover. Personally, I prefer when they charge a cover because it keeps the place from ridiculously wall-to-wall packed.

Elizabeth's is no longer at the Palms.

For a different type of evening, Off the Wall is having a pig roast on NYE.

there are lots of private parties by invitation only. Carambola Resort is doing a festive evening package that can include hotel stay for those who want to party and not drive afterwards. They will have the mocko jumbies, etc. as well as a dinner buffet and music to get you to midnight. There are usually a lot of people just wandering around C'sted having an informal party with everyone they meet.
