Announcing the Stars-After-School 2006 Fall Season of Classes
We will have a Performance Sharing at the end of each Class!

Registration is on-going for Year 2 of the Stars After School Youth Theatre Program. ALL CLASSES ARE 3:00-6:00 PM ON WEEK-DAYS AND 12:00-4:00 PM ON SATURDAYS.

THE CLASSIC CHARACTERS OF COMEDY will begin our new Intensive Class Structure, Mondays-Thursdays, from Sept. 18th-October 12th, with a Performance Sharing to follow on Friday night from 6:00-7:00 pm showing the students new found skills in zany, farcical falls and the witty repartee of Abbott & Costello!

THE DANCING DIVAS will be taught by Guest Artist Gina Handy who so brilliantly choreographed this past summer’s OZ! Hip-hop, modern, jazz, tap and Renaissance dance will be taught for artistry and technique, Mondays-Fridays, October 23rd-November 10th. AUDITIONS ARE OCTOBER 16TH, 3:00-6:00 PM; PLEASE PREPARE A DANCE IN TWO CONTRASTING STYLES. Gina & Education Director Bethany Burgess-Smith will perform a STARS STAFF CONCERT from 7:00-8:00 pm following the Performance Sharing on November 10th.

Gary Minyard returns from a successful summer at our Leadership Camp to teach the Intensive SHAKING’ UP SHAKESPEARE – A Midsummer Night’s Dream-island style; the Rustics have a mascot iguana, Hermia & Helena are VI Pageant Princesses! PLEASE RECITE A SONNET FOR AUDITIONS OCTOBER 17TH, 3:00-6:00 PM. Classes are Mondays-Saturdays, November 4th-18th.

Beginning classes are $60/week. Intermediate classes are $75/week. Advanced classes are $90/week. Sibling discounts & advanced class Super-Star Scholarships are available.

The best results are achieved when students commit to regular instruction. STUDENTS CAN COMMIT TO ALL INTENSIVES, OR JUST THE ONES THAT PERK THEIR INTEREST. The Intensive Class Structure helps us support well-rounded youth with time for theater, other activities, and a strong focus on grades, providing them time to re-focus between Intensives.

INTRODUCING: THE FIRST ANNUAL RENAISSANCE FAIR & STUDENT SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL ON MAY 4TH, 2007, 2:00 PM-8:00 PM: A DAY OF “INSPIRING, THRILLING, EYE-POPPING, EAR-SPLITTING POTPOURRI OF SHAKESPEAREAN FIREWORKS!” Students from schools around the island will join us at Pistarckle to perform 10 minutes of Shakespeare in celebration of the raw power ad dazzling beauty of The Bard, so have your English teacher call us today! All Intensives will have an element that leads us to this Festival! Revel in the Renaissance with Wandering Minstrels, Dangerous Duels, May Pole Dances & Knave Sandwiches – “Frivolity Fit For A King!”

AUDITIONS FOR THE SPRING PRODUCTION, SuperHero Gils Like Me, with music & percussion by Pistarckle’s Brotherhood of Boys will be Tuesday & Wednesday, Dec. 12th & 13th, 4:00-8:00 pm.
