Greetings everyone! I wanted to encourage some new folks to come out for Ultimate Frisbee games on St. Croix.
We play every Monday and Thursday from 4:30-dark on the front field at UVI. We play co-ed, all ages. Most of us come out for the great cardio exercise and I'd say the competion level is medium so don't be afraid to come out for a good time.
Ultimate Frisbee is a minimal contact sport that is like a cross between basketball, football and soccer, except we play with a 175g frisbee. From 4:30-5:00 we try and hold an informal skills class to help out players new to the game. Games start about 5:00. We sub in and out so you can rest (or play) as much as you'd like.
If you do come out, bring one light shirt and one dark, a bottle of water and a good attitude.
This is a great way to meet some new folks around STX.
Again, co-ed, all ages!

This sounds great! Is it still going on now? if so does anyone drive from christiansted? I would love to come, used to play back in Florida, but i have no car : ( yet.

My Husband is so happy that Ultimate exists in STX - it will make our move that much easier.

STT used to have male and female teams. Not sure if they still play. The site hasn't been updated in a while - http://www.stthomas.edu/clubs/ultimatefrisbee/
I've been told there's also a team on STJ. Not sure where they play. You'll have to ask around.
Couldn't imagine St. Croix life without SCUFA.

We're still playing on the front lawns of UVI every Mon and Thu 5PM-dark.
Pickup games, so bring a dark and a light shirt with you.
