2009 Tax Refund - Still Waiting?

I hand delivered our tax forms to the IRB/BIR office at Sunny Isle a few days before the April 15 deadline. We're still waiting for our refund.

I'm wondering if anyone else who dropped off their forms around the same time has received their checks or are you still waiting?

That seems a bit excessive to me, but maybe not here? I filed ours February 21st and had our refund in September.

Call IRB and ask. In the summer, the answer might have been, "We haven't gotten to yours yet," but at this point, they should know the status.

I called #715-1040 to check the status of my checks in the past.
They're usually very helpful and will let you know what's going on.

Popflops - Feb to Sept and April to Dec are almost the same time span. So maybe ours soon come?

I'll give them a call and see what the say.

Thanks all for your replies.

I'm in the same situation as specialk.

I followed up with visits and letters. VI IRB people were very nice, but nothing was happening. They said they sent my forms to IRS in the States.

After more months and letters, IRS finally replied and said they had no record of my 1040. This was suspicious because when I called IRS they said they had a record but all values were zero! They said I should send a duplicate. I did that two weeks ago. Nothing yet.

I may be filing for 2010 before I get my refund for 2009! 🙁

Good luck. I'm still screwing around with the IRB for 2006.
