Received 5 calls and 2 messages in 10min to call back "its an emergency", probably trying to spoof or scam.... strong Jamaican accent...not Crucian, though the number originates from STT. Just a heads up but if anybody else receives similar thought it would be interesting to try to track.

Uh oh, sounds like last year's issue with Sprint where the tower's got hacked.

Finally gave up sprint when our account got stolen for the 5th time. And times 3 thru 5 we had no internet account what so ever. Each time sprint made it extremely difficult to fix the problem, even though they know it a problem in the Caribbean. It was much easier to deal with my CC number being stolen one time in PR then with sprint.

What do you mean your account got stolen at Sprint?

About a year ago Sprint got "hacked" down here and people's accounts were basically cloned. It was a pretty large scale thing...2 of my co-workers accounts were cloned and it was a mess to get straightened out. There bills were for over a thousand dollars as hundreds or thousands of minutes and tons of data usage was piled onto their account. From what I remember, usually they would get tipped off because something would go wrong with the hack and they'd get a phone call from someone who thought they were calling them...usually someone in Jamaica. They'd check their Sprint bill and there'd be a thousand dollars in charges made over the last few hours.

I am loosely recollecting the details and everyone's experiences were different but this was the jist of it.
