A Christmas story

Because I am old, fat and have a white beard, I am asked every year to play "Santa" at the hotel. So every year I put on the suit, grab a bag of candy canes and go up to the lobby and dining room and visit with all the people. This year as I was going around the dining room, a little guy about five years old marches up and says "Santa, I don't celebrate Christmas". I told him that was ok, but I bet he liked to eat candy, and gave him a candy cane. His eyes lit up, and I went on about my rounds. About five minutes later, he came back up to me and asked me why I gave candy to children. I merely responded "You like candy, don't you." He walked away again, and once more I began visiting with the guests. About five minutes later, the same little guy came back to me and asked why I gave presents to children. This one was a little tougher. My response, "Sometimes it can be hard to be a kid and the gift is just a little bonus for being a good kid. He stood there for a moment, put his arms around me, gave me a hug, and said "Santa, I like you." It brought a tear to an old man's eye.

It's a shame what happens to the old, fat women who are growing a beard. What beloved character do they represent? God definitely must be a man....
