Several weeks ago Tourism announced there would be 5 additional direct flights into STX; has anyone heard what they are and when they will start?

For some reason Oct. or Nov. sticks in my head. Around tourist season i bet
Sure will make it nicer for us to travel won't it ?

They said they would start in Dec at the symposium. I thought they said one extra american for stx and delta flight for stx. I think the rest go to stt.

No it was more than one for STX. Last I heard it starts in November and in addition to new flights a couple of existing ones are getting larger planes (Delta and American.) As I recall they are expecting more USVI tourism given global economic conditions (I guess it's cheaper to come here than some exotic locations), extreme drug crime in Mexico, etc.

the American is an early evening from Mia and a morning flight from stx...runs 5 days a week I think. Starts just before Xmas, I assume it will be seasonal only....am sure it depends on load... think there has been mention of some additional eagles from SJU at some point as well.

American Airline will add an additional flights starting on November 24th from MIA to STX @ AA#771.
Boing 737 jet service at 7:00PM MIA departure and arrival in STX at 10:35PM,
Return service starts on November 25th.
This flight will return to MIA as AA#760 in the morning at 10:35AM with arrival at 12:40PM.

Saw this a few weeks ago, great news...can leave STX on the jet EARLY on certain days and also leave for STX late on certain days!

Like this schedule so much better than leaving STX at 4 in the afternoon and having to leave Miami at 12 ish. It's like getting almost 2 extra days in Miami, or better yet, more connection options. I fly to Oregon and it's almost impossible to get home on the same day. This will help.

LOL, I just booked a trip to Amsterdam for a trade show and my friend thought I was doing a "mileage run" where one flies extra solely to accumulate frequent flier miles. He was shocked when I told him that this is the only way I can get home from AMS to STX in one day on one airline/alliance. The trip is AMS-Heathrow-Miami-San Juan to St. Croix. Leave at 7:20am AMS time and get into STX around 9pm. Ridiculous! Can't wait for the late MIA-STX to start up!
