ST T native, left in 95 ( a Hurricane Marilyn victim )...been back a few times as a visitor, but now considering relocating. My husband is an airbrush artist and we are wondering if this is something that would be profitable? specializing in tshirts, portraits on shirts as well as canvas, murals and also automotive painting... I have so many concerns over this big move, but I am missing island life terribly, and would like to introduce the kids to my culture. Any suggestions or comments appreciated!

I would think that just doing the cars and motorcycles would keep him busy enough here on STT....there's some fine work on STT, and I'm not sure who is doing it, but I'm sure there would be room for one more...especially with the T-shirts, canvas, murals, etc. I had a friend do my motorcycle, and I get compliments every day. And some of the cabs and cars look mighty good here. You might want to contact Mango Tango and see what they have to say about artists painting with an airbrush and what the demand for their work is, too...but, I'd say he could probably make a go of it....my buddy did mine right at his house, so a shop isn't even a requirement, really...

Thanks for your response...I forgot all about Mango Tango....I'm a nursing student in Baltimore and the winters aren't too friendly 🙁
I guess I have been bitten by the homesick bug this past spring on my last visit. It just seems so overwhelming with all of the details of packing and shipping two cars but it is so worth it.
