We have pollen from our diverse tropical landscape nearly year round, a refinery and dust so I suppose it depends on what you may be sensitive to. When I lived in Maine I had allergy SXs but not here. go figure?

I have them year round here. The Sahara winds are the worst but not as painful as the Santa Ana winds in CA. The island is always dusty. The amount of dusting you do on island versus stateside will go up significantly. We live with our windows open here, no filter on the fresh air. So it's also a matter of what allergies bother you.

Thanks so much! I'll keep checking the website to see if there is a "higher season" for pollen allergies. We just got back from Tampa and my son's allergies were worse than they have ever been here in Massachusetts. It made me curious if the VI would bother him as much. We plan on moving to STJ in August 2012.

I come from KY where I had terrible trouble in the spring -- flowering trees and bushes. Came here 8 years ago and have had ZERO trouble with allergies.
