I think Spyglass was for sale on St. John a few months ago.

As far as I know Spyglass(bar/ restaurant) is still for sale. Captain's Cabin (bar) also located in Wharfside on STJ is for sale as well.

The Margarita Phils 2cnd location -- the one in Frenchtown has been closed and for sale for over a year.
The old Fagioli location on the waterfront is for sale
A nice courtyard on the N. side of Main St across from Baretta Center used to be a bar and is for lease.

Marty, I think you know that almost every bar and restaurant in the usvi is 'for sale' for the right price. As a failed bar and restaurant owner, my only advice to your friend is "buy low". He should put as little into the business as possible. There are many bars that are running on very low margins because they are paying someone else for the building, license and goodwill. There are several place around that are going broke and just want out.

Of course everything has it's price...but he lived here for about 7 years, so he's not going in this blind...and these comments are great, as I sent him the link so he could read what's being said, so please continue to post! Thanks, all!
