This was an interesting article: http://www.onepaper.com/stthomasvi/?v=d&i=&s=News:Local&p=1189224308. I know there have been some people asking about gyms and Pilates recently.

Thank goodness. That gym was deteriorating by the minute. I really hope there are the positive changes made to the facilities that the article states. We deserve to have nice facilities for the cost of membership we are paying instead of rusted equipment, moldy showers with torn shower curtains and clogged drains, and treadmills with duct tape on them. Maybe they'll even put a water fountain in the one in Nisky now. *crosses fingers*

Where is the best gym? Last we visited, my son joined a gym for a month (he is a certified Personal Trainer / college student) and the gym closed 3 days into our visit, never to re-open - as a trainer with daily clientele, he was distressed to lose almost 2 weeks of training. Luckily, he was able to get a refund mailed to him at home.

When we visit again, I know this will come up! What's the best place with the best equipment?

Edit: this was on STT. I am seeking a gym on STT.

Too bad... He couldn't invest in the gym on STJ that is for sale in the Marketplace. They just reduced the price...a lot! A business and gym all-in-one.....

The best gym is at Paradise Gate in Havensight. It's new with clean facilities and nice equipment. When America's Paradise gym downtown closed, a lot of people decided to start going there. I
