I know that I am one of many looking to head to paradise. I finish my semester in DC in May and am looking to move down to St. Thomas or St. John right after that. As a 20 year old college student I am looking for people to live with (i may be coming with a friend of mine) I am very easygoing and I like to have a fun time. I have been to both islands and im not sure which would be better during the summer since I need to make money. Any ideas of anyone in a similair situation? Please write back or drop me an email! HAve a great one and I am so jealous of all of you who are living the good life down there right now!

I will be heading down a few months later and will be looking for a place to stay, but youll long be settled. I was curious as to how much money your are planning on bringing to get started and The pros to living in either STJ or STT, since you seem to know them. Thanks for your help.

(I am a recent grad and trying to gage how much i should save first)

Thanks
Jon

I'm moving as well. 22-year-old college grad from UNC Charlotte in N.C. My best friend is hopefully coming w/ me. We're moving to STT and are looking for roommate/roommates. Have already been looking/pricing housing. Patricia, where in DC do you go to school?

I go to George Washington University. If anyone is in the islands now and intersted in maybe sharing housing for the summer or could provide any insight on job availibility (would like to earn enough to pay for rent and nights out!) i would love it if you could email me back. either here or at pkp@gwu.edu
also wondering how far the UVI campus in st thomas is from red hook? thanks!

I am moving to St. Thomas on April 5. Is anyone looking for a roomate this soon? I am NOT looking for summer housing, I would like to live year round on the island.I am a 24 year old sweet female from Texas, but currently residing in Orlando. I am so excited about moving to the islands. Email me if you need a roomate or know of anyone...please!!! avanloh@yahoo.com

Hello. Looks like I stepped into the right bunch of people. I, too, am a soon-to-be college grad hoping to relocate to St. John in September. I am planning to stay at least through the tourist season, perhaps longer. My passion is art and graphic design, but I'm also earning diver certification as a back-up for a dive shop/guide job. I'm starting from scratch with the housing stuff, too. Anyone interested in a roomate around that time? Thanks a bundle! Look forward to hearing from anyone.

I'm really excited to see all you people my age moving down there...I am 21, and I should be moving down around March next year (I graduate in December)...at least we won't be alone as we go through the "graduation-entering the real world" transition...

I just turned 22 this month and am moving to hopefully StJ on May 2nd, I say hopefully because StJ is ideally where I want to go but it doesn't really matter where i end up. I will be graduating college at the end of april and also have my PADI scuba certificate. A job anywhere making enough money for rent and to go out would be fine. If anyone is going in the beginning of May or will be there and want a roomate let me know i'll be In StT May 2.
Can't wait. See you guys soon

I am a 26-year old architect, starting a job on April 7 in Red Hook Bay. I am scouring for an affordable place to live (I should have been a doctor).
I will probably buy a car, so I can live a little farther away from Red Hook.
If anyone is interested in sharing a place (short-term or long-term), or if anyone already living there is looking to defray expenses, please let me know...

jb@murphdittarch.com

I've toned it down since my college days, so I should be bearable to live with.

Hey guys:

Trish and I (she posted earlier) are looking to move to STJ or STT for the summer...i'm graduating and attempting to put off the real world for a little bit. We both go to GW in d.c and we're looking to escape the city and chill in the islands for the summer...does anyone know if its feasible to make enough money waitressing/bartending in the summer to support rent and basic other stuff? we'd probably head down mid-may or early june..if anyone is looking to share a place for the summer let us know! i'm PADI certified too, so if anyone just happens to know about a job at a dive shop... =] so if anyone knows about any housing situations, please share!
