Does anybody know why some of the Texaco stations on STT have closed, or if they are planning to reopen them? Bovoni and Smith Bay have closed...Not sure about Tutu, it was closed a while back, but I haven't been by there in quite sometime.

Jay: I believe that they are required (by Licensing and Consumer Affairs) to price their gas according to their costs, so if they buy a shipment at a lower cost they have to reduce the price at the pump. Domino waits until all their outlets are dry before bringing in a new load to deal with this. Price controls just don't work, no matter how many times they try!

You got that right....But they have been closed for a while, and its only a couple of them. The pumps are shrinkwrapped and the convenience store has been closed. I was wondering if they are franchises and just couldn't compete. Or maybe up for sale or something...

I heard is was a management or mismanagement issue. Probably trying to get a new management team.
