Hi All:
A friend here in STT wants to rent a car for a few days but has no credit card; he wants to use cash. Avis had said no (DO they try harder?) and I imagine that some of the other biggies will say no also.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Some may take a large cash deposit before renting. Try the non franchise ones.

Try Bowsky in Smith Bay. A friend without a CC uses them when he comes over from STJ. The rate will be higher but the cars are in good shape.

I'll give it go. I was hoping there'd be something; my friend can't be the only "cash economy" guy on the island.
