Can anyone recommend a competent Architect or Draftsmen? We want to have plans drawn up for a modest home on island (STT). I am not talking about a Luxury Villa just a small island cottage. I know that to have your plans approved they need to be stamped by a VI professional. I also don't think the usual house plans you see online or in books really will do well in the VI. Any help would be appreciated.

Which island? On STT, Doug White is pretty well-known for his island style homes & I'm told he's rather weary of the mega-villas. He's on the east end of STT but also does work on STJ.

What about Springline Architects? in Red Hook. I know several people who have used them and are happy.

I second Springline. Kevin Qualls in particular. He's very good and he's a great guy!

hi, a guy by the name of godfrey is doing mine, great guy, extremely good prices less than 1.00 per sq ft ,he can do plans for all islands he came highly recommended to us. get in touch with me i'll give you his number. if you like.
