As if it wasn't enough to disrupt this forum -- now back decrying the USVI and this forum community with bitter posts.

EDIT - seems to have been removed already after numerous objections

Guess that poster didn't like it here in STT or this forum.
No great loss. Sour grapes.

Want To Work In The BSVI? (STT) hide this posting
compensation: Bend Over
employment type: employee's choice

If you are reading CL because you are interested in moving to the V.I. do yourself a favor and don't. This place will chew you up and spit you out. Unless you're a contracted employee don't even think about it. Even then I caution any one thinking about moving to the V.I. I speak from personal experience. The employers here will tell you anything and even falsely advertise positions when they don't have enough work for the people they have. Once you are here they own you because there aren't many other options and they will screw you. There's even a popular moving web site where most of the members are business owners and will not tell you that these things go on even when asked. Why? Because they have a vested interest in bringing people to the island. They're afraid they might have to move back to the real world and I doubt they could handle reality again. Even the moderator is a hypocrite. The moderator even decided to share personal info with one of these privileged idiots. This while these 2 members who's crap doesn't stink apparently, decided it was time to get on their high horses. I guess they never heard of the first amendment or civil rights but they want to be part of the U.S. Island life was fine until the high and mighty members of this board decided to rub some ones nose in their misfortune. As much as you would probably like to live and work in the Caribbean trust me it's not worth it.

Oh my Lord, this is a repeat from the same guy who was posting exactly the same, word for word, months and months ago on every craigslist employment section he could find. Obviously there's something seriously wrong with him.

That's a long time to be pissed off that things didn't work out.
I know a couple of of us on this forum tried to help him but he was bound and determined to make the worst of any situation and then malign everything and everyone in the process.

How often have people on this board cautioned new prospective movees [my new word?] that coming here to avoid the problems they already have in their current life usually amplifies those problems here - it is just nicer weather!

Unfortunately so many of them think they're different and know better, ignoring the cautionary words which are made in all good faith. And then there are the very few like this poor soul who go into meltdown mode when Kansas comes with them. Oh well ...

And we don't have a message board where people have to start threads regarding the lousy unreliable electric, cable, internet and cell phone service to name a few.

I don't find any of those services lousy or unreliable.

My DISH network always works.

My BBVI internet has about a 98% up time.

My cell always works.

An WAPA...its goes off once in a while but have I generators that I enjoy using once in a while.

All good.

Living here and making it work is just not for everyone or we'd be way too crowded. I tell my friends who show interest, you are not on vacation when you live here. Island living is not for everyone and for that I am grateful. Sounds like sour grapes to me!

It should have taught him something to take back to the states with him. Otherwise it was a waste .
If you want to live here, and its for you, you will work hard enough to make it happen.
I went through a few aweful jobs, I met some good people that I am still connected with today. Even if you bring enough with you too have little financial stress, it still takes work. If you pile it all up on both sides of the scale and its not for you, whining its going to change anything.
If it was for everyone, it wouldn't be attainable for those that really love it here.

It wouldn't surprise me if he lost his job and/or is having difficulty finding one specifically because of that attitude. That negativity has to radiate off him/her like an "avoid at all cost" beacon. I've found this forum tremendously helpful.

I received a PM in response to my comments regarding CAM in the SUV recommendation thread. He stated that Vanessa at CAM was difficult to reach and when he did she was elusive and did not give direct answers to specific question regarding his possible employment there. She would not give him anything in writing pertaining to the relocation package either.
He did a PMV and after meeting with employers that were equally difficult he decided not to make the move. I guess there's something wrong with him too then.:S

I thought the poster was JD on STT?

It is JD.
SIAC is relating to someone different with comment about (least) favorite auto dealership.

My point is that not everyone comes here with an attitude. The employers here are a major part of the problem. JD over reacted but the root of the problem leads back to the employers. This is not the first time I've received a PM about CAM and others.

JD's problems were way greater than his poor experience with his employer here - who had nothing whatsoever to with CAM. My first employer here was the worst I had ever had and left me high and dry in dreadful circumstances, but I picked myself up and set about getting everything back together as most normal adults would do. Let's not get carried away excusing JD's incredibly crappy, unprofessional attitude and insane, vile rants because he had one bad employment experience. It's bad enough that there's even a thread about the miserable creature.

"JD's problems were way greater than his poor experience with his employer here"

Is that your professional opinion doctor?

You are correct in a way, it started with being berated by certain members who feel it's their job to blame the victims who fall prey to unscrupulous businesses here because there's no way this could happen on our precious islands.

It's my opinion based on reading not only the slew of hysterical rants he posted on this forum but the similar rants he posted on every craigslist employment section way after his return stateside. One doesn't need a doctorate to see an unhinged, obsessive and irrational mind at work.
