"JD's problems were way greater than his poor experience with his employer here"

Is that your professional opinion doctor?

It's my opinion based on reading not only the slew of hysterical rants he posted on this forum but the similar rants he posted on every craigslist employment section way after his return stateside. One doesn't need a doctorate to see an unhinged, obsessive and irrational mind at work.

Yes I know.

By the way, you know for certain it was him on CL? I'm sure because no one else ever left here disgruntled. Right?

Yes. In several of his (removed) craigslist ads he not only named the company he worked for but appended his initials to the posts.

But how do you know it was him?

Deductive reasoning, perhaps?

Correct but no actual proof. Has anyone considered it might be the employer? They are trying to get out of a comp. claim by stating he never worked there.

No idea why you're arguing. The same person posted here as posted on craigslist. Same person, same initials, same company, same rants. Had you read it all you would be convinced without any doubt whatsoever but since you apparently didn't ...
No merit in continuing this silliness.

We're not disputing that there are some bad or unscrupulous business owners
but the rants against all and everything became over the top from that particular person. All the posts look to cover the same ground in the same manner and language. Sure, he may have gotten a raw deal by that particular company owner but usually one can "get over it and move on" to a better situation without bad mouthing everything and everyone, especially so many months later.

I gave him leads on dive places that were hiring, nothing was suitable and his attitude was a turnoff for many when I inquired afterwards.
Some people are their own worst enemy.

One dive shop at Hull Bay if I remember correctly and he jerked him around too.

You, Cruzan and a few others launched a personal attack on him and then you were all surprised when he fired back. Underwater Safaris and Webb at STT Scuba jerked his chain and you all wonder how he developed an attitude. Really?

You are correct in a way, it started with being berated by certain members who feel it's their job to blame the victims who fall prey to unscrupulous businesses here because there's no way this could happen on our precious islands.

The problem was his ATTITUDE. No one gave him an attitude. It was his alone.

He took the time to cuss me out, and I should just accept that? The guy was an ass.

Do I have to post the private messages he sent?

His attitude is evident in every one of his posts.

This takes sour grapes to a whole nutha level. If only the Internet were around when employers jerked me around in the past I would have taken to the interwebz and spent countless hours lambasting them... Oh Nevermind, I would have just got another job and stopped crying over spilled milk.

Paaaaleeeeze. Stop with your BS. You all took pleasure in busting his balls and you started crying because he wouldn't take your crap.
This is nothing new with entitled board members who think their crap doesn't stink. Go back a few years to the thread started by highlander32. Someone else mistreated by an employer there. He was attacked by a couple of idiots who post under different names now.

I re-read that thread and am confused on two issues. First at your assertion that posters attacked the OP which simply doesn't come across when you read the thread in its entirety (and it's not long). On the contrary, the OP became extremely rude when his own actions and timeline were concerned, name-calling and the like. Second, I see familiar names on there of posters who still contribute but I don't recognize anyone there who you allege to now be "post(ing) under different names". I believe you're mistaken on that score.

As far as your defense of JD is concerned, it's really no surprise as birds of a feather do tend to flock together - except that birds are generally pretty smart when it comes to finding their way through the branches.

Interesting. I read that first post. Vanessa was straight out LYING to him about the insurance. I wish I was on the board back then, I could have hooked him up with insurance and CC payment with Tropical. I've been in the business of shipping in and out of STX since the late 70's.

SHOCKING! You found the poster to be at fault! What a surprise.

Speaking of birds of a feather..... hypocrite!

Worse yet she wanted him to lie on the SED which is a tax document if I'm not mistaken. She was probably trying to avoid paying customs fees by having him falsify documents. I'm glad he was smart enough to see through her lying and deception.

Wow OT. You really are an advocate for the slime bag employers and the antagonists on this forum. Highlander didn't get nasty until he was attacked by Lizard and Poor Thang. Jeeez.

Lizard "It takes two to Tango! If you only paint one side of the exterior door it's going to warp".

Lizard "Highlander32,
Maybe you should think about going to South America for a Job, according to your question you might not have to bring your own tools".

Poor Thang "For some one who is paid to figure out problems..... seems to me ,,,,,, ..the MASTER part of your certification,,,,,, is in need of a tune up".

Poor Thang "You weren' t... HIRED.... until you got a paycheck.......Anything else" ??????

You're correct as usual. No one busted his balls either! Hypocrite!
