Can anyone confirm that discovery documents show that Basil Ottley filed taxes as a Virginia resident 3 of the last 5 years?
The case is Alan Haynes vs. ? (Elections system)?

Donna Christensen has never said publicly that he has filed taxes in the Virgin Islands every year for the last 5 years.

One would think that given all your insight into and knowledge of local political matters outside the sphere of the hoi polloi, the answer would be right at your fingertips.

i talked to a local lawyer about the very same thing and he said its a complete waste of time. the case is scheduled for hearing tomorrow before judge gomez to determine whether the plaintiff has standing to pursue the matter. the string of birther cases against obama and mccain demonstrate that there is no standing to do such a thing.

So did he did file taxes in Virginia 3 of the last 5 years or not? I am not going to vote for a liar. I don't care what the court rules technically.

So if one of the gubernatorial candidates enjoins the plaintiff then they would have a case?

i heard that judge gomez is up for renomination (his term expires on 1/1/15); virgin islands district judges are appointed for 10 years. christensen is partly responsible for who fills the seat. the 19 page opinion was presumably used to scratch her back so she returns the favor before leaving the delegate seat.

Aha! I understand now. Thank you, Longhorn.

There's a new lawsuit challenging his eligibility, sigh.

This election year is certainly the most contentious that I can recall.
I can't wait for it to be over tho I dread the outcome given the cast of characters running for election. It's pretty dismaying. Especially given the dire straights the Virgin Islands are in at this time. The stakes are high.
