About half an hour ago I was working on homework and my Internet cut off. Is the area near Beeston Hill down, or is something wrong with my equipment?

I am on Beeston Hill STX and my BBVI is down. I would like to know if anyone else is down.
I did a tracert to an address off island and my trace gets into a routing loop.
BTW I left voice mail at BBVI.

Yesterday morning they had a problem with the DNS servers. I left a message but never received a call back.
Last night sometime it appears it all went dark - but everything appears to be up and running now.
Very unusual to have such extended outages with BBVI.

It just came back for me as well.
Was the outage localized to st Croix, or to any particular section of the island?

Back on for me as well.
Based on the people reporting here, it looked like it was centered around the Princesse tower. But I'm only speculating.

BBVI was down on the east end by Divi this morning too.

Their status says that all four islands are affected and that they are working on the problem. No estimate about when it will be available again.

Sorry 'bout that.
Last night's problem was a bad Air Conditioner.
Today at lunch was a bad circuit breaker.
There will be a short outage, early Friday morning, to upgrade/replace the circuit breaker.
A completely redundant cabinet, router, switch, power supply, battery bank, air conditioner and backhaul radio will be installed in the next week or 2 to eliminate the single point of failure.
