Anyone know any beekeepers on STT, STJ or Water Island?

Thanks.

LR: I know there is someone- I have even seen local honey. They had a problem at CAHS (I think) with bees a while ago and had to call a beekeeper to get the queen. I'm sorry, I don't know the name, though! I'll bet if you called Sam Topp tomorrow morning, you would have an answer in two seconds!

Good luck!

Thanks, East Ender

I know someone who knows someone (you know how that goes) who keeps bees- and actually got a lot of local honey as a gift from them via the friend. It was delicious, if a bit random.

I'm trying to track down some beekeepers around here to either "rent" me their bees or advise me how to keep a small hive/colony.

I have some triploids that I'm trying to grow, and need some pollinators! Don't know if the Jack Spaniels (sp? name?) pollinate- I see them by my calabash flowers and I do get big calabash, so someone's got to be doing it, right?

But I want to play with the triploids on a bigger scale, and thus need some reliable pollinators. And it's either bees or someone nimble with a steady hand! 😉 I'll call Sam Topp.

Thanks again,
LR

Hello LR,

Onika had a bee issue when she first moved into her home and mentioned it on the board. She had called Dave Berry for help. I bet if you could get in touch with him he could help you.
