My boyfriend and I are planning the big move to STT next year around this time next year. We will not be able to make a pre-move visit, so we will be looking to find a rental when we get down there and possibly jobs. What month is the best for available rentals and employment? Any information/advice would be warmly welcomed 🙂

The best time to find available rentals here is between June and September.

The best time to find a job depends on what you're looking for. For anything related to or dependent on tourism, the best time is between November and February. For anything else, time of year does not matter.

The best time to buy a vehicle is May or June; the best time to sell a vehicle is November or December.

The best time to move here is (1) not before you've got at least $10K spare cash and/or (2) now, so you don't regret not having moved sooner. 🙂

The best time to leave is when the things you loved most about island life are beaten down by the things that drive you crazy about it.
