Shipping timeline difficulties...

Anyone else experience difficulty locking down exact dates for your things to be shipped? I don't know if I'm being jerked around or if this is normal... I have been given about 3-4 different dates for my things to ship out, each of them getting later and later in the game. The moving company keeps blaming the steamship line (Crowley). I'm choosing my battles over here, but I'd love to know if anyone else has gone through this - so I know that I'm choosing the right battles!!
Ten more days, I'm super excited to get to STT. No steamship line could ruin that - just make it more expensive 😉

The smaller loads get pushed aside for the larger ones. Plus, the storms in the Caribbean make everything more uncertain. It's not unusual for this to happen.

Thanks Linda. We have a 20 foot container, I guess that will get pushed for 40 ft....

I think the individual who told you Crowley vessels sail by steam is indeed jerking you around.

Your load will get here when it gets here; adherence to promised schedules is now a part of your past as dates and times are a fluid concept here.

I think they are just using that as a generic term for all the ocean cargo carriers they deal with (SSL)... I was not under the impression that it actually sails by steam. In any event, I would just like it to sail, period... Thanks for the input, all is much appreciated.

Everything here is a slower pace...........its good & bad. Mostly it just takes time to get used to it.
