I know it is to much to hope for but I wonder if they will keep this going through our Continental winter ? We won't be on island until Feb-April time frame.

nah, that's season so we don't "really" need the tourism b/c that's when everyone comes. they usually run specials like this through the slow, hurricane season b/c occupancy is so low.

Does this mean we can fly from STX to those cities for ~ $400 or less round-trip now? (Sadly I suspect the answer is no but I'm hoping someone can say otherwise.)

Hey nforbes... thanks for the tip. We just signed up for the special. We added a day also ($110 for extra hotel night). The whole process was pretty simple, and the phone operator was very good at finding us the best flights. Flights for us, out of northern VA are through MIA, and not through PR. It's ground floor of Carambola. We've normally stayed at Divi... I don't really know Carambola... I've heard mixed reviews. Lots of dates were available... we settled on mid-October. OK, time to break out the snorkeling gear. I've got a list of about 40 things I want to try to see and do.. not enough time, I'm sure. I'd really like to clear a path through my land, but I don't think I should pack a machete in my luggage.

Yup, but a little clarification for others considering this: taxes were abut $200 each, so final bill for two people from Washington DC to Carambola, 5 nights (not 4 nights)...$1200. Still a very good deal. The flights are good... comfortable times.
