Has anyone heard the status of the boat parade today? Last thing I heard was it may be postponed because of the winds.

It's definitely ON! (or over) Fireworks were beautiful from our deck, but, as usual, my dogs did not like it. We seem to spend every fireworks event with each of us with a dog in the lap. That's OK.

The boat parade was spectacular. 27 boats. The paticipants did a great job both with the decorating their boats and dealing with the wind and weather. This is the event that truly kicks off the season for us and makes me so happy to live on this truly unique island.
Thank you to all the captains and crew for all your hard work and your expert seamanship.

I d idnt make it this year but i did see fireworks from deck and it was beautiful. i was afraid that they might be road blocks set up and that sort of takes the fun out of it for me. didnt have designated driver this year. 🙁
