Is anyone having breathing problems lately due to poor air quality on STT?

I don't normally have allergy related breathing problems, but within the last 6 weeks I've noticed some difficulty breathing.

I did see a doctor and have had a chest x-ray here aboout 4 weeks ago.....all negative results...but was told, at that time, the mold count was very high.

Last night the same problem returned.

The Soufrierre Hills volcano on Montserrat emits 150-700 tons of sulphur dioxide each day (plus other stuff). When the wind is out of the southeast, as it has been for the last few days, we get that plume over us. On St. Croix you can occasionally smell it, and it is what is responsible for the purple-ish cast in the haze one sometimes sees at sunset when there is a se or sse wind.

Hmmm...that might also explain the black substance on the bottom of my feet each day. I've washed the floors several times and just hours later the bottoms of my feet are black.

Thanks

The black on the bottom of your feet is probably WAPA dust !! (Emitted from their giant oil fired smoke stacks)
It blows into my house all the time and covers everything!! I don't go barefoot around the house because of it A real drag!!
I on the other hand have been sneezing a lot from dust or something in the air!!

I'm on the East End of STT, so I don't think that WAPA is the problem.

lol.....when all else fails blame WAPA...smh

It's so funny the amount of stuff that WAPA gets blame for.
