Always thought Capt Heinz --Terrero out of Green Cay was best bang for the buck.

One vote for Captain Mike and the Jolly Roger. Great full-day experience on a nice boat and super-friendly crew.

SmokingJoe: I think OP is speaking of Buck Island off of St Croix.

Chief, I think Mile Mark goes back away. Went with them our first time back in 2004. I think they're Caribbean Adventures now.

We are from Vermont and just got back last night from visiting St Croix. Our vote is for Mike and his crew at Jolly Ranger. We met him last week while walking on the boardwalk and myself and 3 kids said he was a nice gut. Later that week we went on a trip and it was great. The crew was very nice and everything went perfect. A plus is that their rates for children was the best. We forgot to get our change and I called later to ask him to mail a check and Mike went out of his way to meet us . Thumbs up!!!

Do any of the Buck Island tours offer discounts to STX locals?

Big Beard does (or did). If you're local and pay full price once, you can go on future trips for half price, if there's space on the boat. You have to tell them on what date you did your first trip so they can verify your status.
