The track on STX is across the road from the airport. I have not been there personally yet. I have read some about it in the paper. Being from Kentucky, the quality is a little lower than I'm accustomed to. But just like the Derby horses, they run in a counterclockwise circle and if I bet on them they would take my money. :>)

There is one casino on STX. Divi Bay Casino on the southeast end of the island. Again I have not yet been there, but it looks nice from the outside. There is another proposed casino for STX, but the developer and the government are having some problems. Both say the other has not kept their word. I don't know what its status really is. Hope that helps a little.

There was an article in either the Daily News or the Visource.com recently (w/in the past 2-3 days) regarding the need to find new management for the racetrack on either STX or STT. Perhaps you should do an archive search on the daily news website. Good lcuk!

There was an article in today's Daily News talking about a big mele they had at the track this weekend. It also said one of the horses was seriously injured and there was no vet at the track. The horse apparently laid on the track for a long time before it was taken to the barns and euthanized. I thought a vet was required whenever a race was run.
