Hi everyone, I am looking to buying a condo in point pleasant resort. I currently live in new jersey and am looking to own a vacation home for myself and rent it out as much as i can. I need some advice to weather point pleasant is a good condo to own, and if I would be able to have it rented a lot? All the advice is much appreciated.

Ryan

bacci: You would do well contacting the condo association and finding out the rules and regs of renting out a unit at Point Pleasant. Sometimes you are required to go through a management company, sometimes not. Whether a condo is a good investment or not depends on your investment goals.

Check out what the condo fees are PLUS any assessments levied on owners & check the history of that carefully in any condo you buy, Point Pleasant or any other. They seem to get lots of tourist rentals. Point Pleasant usually has several units for sale at any time so check all of them out.

bacci: Have you been here? The same things and places that attract you probably attract other visitors. Definitely do not buy sight unseen. IMHO, of course.

Usually units that are for sale will have rental history for you to check if they have been in the rental program. Be sure to check the condo fees because they are high at Point Pleasant. Other options are Sapphire Beach Resort, Sapphire Hill Village, Sea Ciff, Regatta Point and others.
