Not sure this is a good source or not,. but,...last week the guy directing traffic at the Gallows Bay end told me by Christmas this year.:@)

they have been really working on it. i think installing lights now. not sure if they remember the bulbs.

Do you think it's possible the concept of a roundabout will ever enter into people's imaginations here? Roundabouts would solve the problem of numerous very dangerous intersections on the island.. No need for stop,lights, wasted gas and time.

who gets to be the first one to drive on it when it opens? the gov? ribbon cutting and a ceremony?
may be declared a local holiday.

They'll open it on a Wednesday and the government offices will take Thursday and Friday off. Officially declared "Bypass Thursday" and might as well just take Friday off.

I see people driving on it all the time these days. They just go around the barricades at contentment and drive to Kings Cross street, which doesn't have any barricades.

great! will be so nice not to have to go through town.

lol jost and terry, thought you were serious at first. *-)

but sure they will have something big planned. maybe biden will come back for ribbon cutting. but wait.......someone forgot to order the ribbon.
delayed another month.

Are you KIDDING me? Drivers here can't handle STOP SIGNS. Roundabouts would make peoples' heads explode.
