Any information on transporting my canary, Bruce, would be greatly appreciated. We are leaving from California. Thanks so much.

Hello Diane,

You might call the Agriculture Dept. to ask about any special requirements. Their number and the person I have spoken with before is Dr. Bradford at (340)774-5182.

Visit American Airlines section on traveling with pets at http://www.aa.com/content/travelInformation/specialAssistance/travelingWithPets.jhtml#Pets%20Traveling%20As%20Checked%20Baggage

If you aren't using AA then contact the airline you are using and ask for requirements.

A health certificate from your veterinarian is necessary.
