Hi
I’m would like your opinion on the Cane Bay Reef Club. I have some friends thinking about staying there. I have not been there in over a year, but remember it being a little “run down”.
I would appreciate your thoughts.

I've stayed there a number of times and am a big fan. I would not say it's "run down" but, rather, a bit worn. But, it's clean, safe and cheap, and you can't beat the location. As long as people know what to expect--i.e., it's not a "resort" but more like a Motel 6 on the ocean--they won't be disappointed. Plus, the people who work there are very friendly and responsive. Once, we happened to mention to the front desk that our toilet seat was broken and they replaced it within an hour! And I totally love the bar scene there. It's almost always predominantly locals (and crazy ones at that) and a guaranteed good time.
The only times I've heard of people trashing the place are when they were expecting a resort experience.
