Can't Get Dish Network--Direct TV?

Good Morning All:

I was just about to have dish network installed when the installer guy tells me that he cannot get a line of sight for the dish network satellite. We had it evaluated last year and got the okay, there's no more bush now than then--go figure.

So what can folks tell me about direct tv? (looks like we have a better line of sight for their satellite) I've gone through the posts on this topic for the last few months and I am wondering if anyone wants to share their experiences with the service or recommends a specific installer. I'd like to get away from Innovative cable...

All advice/info appreciated.

Best,

Islandlola

Which island?
In the years I've been installing Dish I have found 2 homes that couldn't get a signal.

Phil at Electronics Unlimited on STT is great. Did my Dish Network and he was quick, friendly and professional...Sat. Ent. Services never answers their phone...I even had Dish Network try to reach him and he didn't return their call, either...

Thanks, Marti!

Ironic--I was over there today and it never occurred to me to ask...

Can you get DirecTV down there? I would love to move my service from stateside when we move down there as I have been grandfathered in for the LA and NY local feeds and would be able to still see my beloved Yankees and JETS?

DirectTv down here is form DirecTV Latin America, Not the DirectTV you know. Lots of Spanish content and Spanish subtitles. However they do carry MLB extra innings and NFL tickets.

If you sign up thru PR, your networks will be PR local channels. If you sign up thru Trinidad, your networks will be the national feed from NY.

With Dish Network, you can get 3 different network feeds. Standard Definition feeds from NYC and San Francisco for $12.99/ mo.
Or High Definition Feeds from LA or Chicago @ $18.99/city. Service is provided by All American Direct..
