Does anyone know of any car rentals on island that don't need a credit card for a rental? The 2 I've spoke with take debit cards for the payment of the rental but won't use them for the deposit. Does anyone know of any that will maybe take a cash deposit? I gave up credit cards years ago, I figure if I have to charge something I don't need it. I've never had a problem with just a debit card before.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This may keep me from coming for my pmv.

I am currently renting a car (until my car arrives via Crowley) through Budget. I used my debit card - the only catch was that they required me to add the additional insurance coverage. I wasn't happy about that, but I no longer use credit cards too and had to comply.

Thanks a lot, I'll call them. Was the rate a little more than the local places? How much was the insurance?
