Could one of you please send me a link? Neither my bookmark nor direct input are working. Not sure, but the computer may have a bug. Thanks!

[ Any other job links would also be appreciated ]

I sent you a Pm with links. it looks like a ll the graphics aren't loading but I can still get into career dot vi

There is a site called vi.osos dot org that seems to have some current listings. However, every time I use it, Internet Explorer reports an invalid security certificate. Is that anything to be concerned about?

Thanks sugarlander,
I already bookmarked them and am searching the islands. Another good one is: http://caribbeanjobs.com/index.asp. Not all are for the usvi but close:)

Appreciate it.

I do video and audio by trade but haven't been able to convince the stations/cable company to give me a chance. I have my own equipment to shoot and produce most any type of program. Even applied for that one posted in the VIDN the other day. If you hear of anything I'd appreciate a note. STX is my first choice.

Have you taken your demo to their offices and met with them face to face? That's probably what you're going to have to do.

Hi Linda,

I've sent out lots of demos, met with the PM at Innovative a few years back, had a phone interview with WSVI some months ago and have followed up with all of them. I keep saving my shekels for the day when I can call paradise my home "sweet" home...

Many thanks again for all your suggestions and hope to see y'all soon!

John

I know nothing about the industry, but my guess is it will be very hard to break in until you are on island.

Thanks again, Linda,

You're correct, as always. Being there is half the fun and some day, I hope to accomplish just that. I even thought of starting a: "Let's get Novanut to STX" fund drive. Car washes, concerts, yard sales and the like just didn't seem to materialize when I went around talking with folks here in the mainland. Rethinking that, I might change it up to read: "Let's get rid of Novanut once and for all!", fund drive.

Anyway, thanks very much for your suggestions. Maybe someday I will be able to call upon you all for another "STX Get Together", where I can meet, greet and hug all the great folks on this site (well, almost all). Until then, it's me and the scorpions, snakes and sidewinders here in the desert :[
