Nice! I was wondering if there was one there. We are moving to STX in July and I'm an avid country music listener. Good to hear I'll have an option!

Last nite at the wyndham was pretty fun. They didnt have the small floor installed as it usually is. That didnt stop us tho. We danced anyways on the carpet. Only restriction on the carpet is my gf cant spin the way she normally does. LOL During the breaks we had the band play country music. One of the band members has about 100,000 songs on his laptop so he pretty much has it all. What he doesnt have we bring on our memory stick. Some of the tourists in the lounge got up and danced a few easy linedances with us. My GF taught/talked them through while on the floor. They followed along pretty good. On some nights we get up to about 15 dancers on teh floor at one time. Saw one couple doing some east coast swing last night. My gf and I did some west coast swing, country 2 step, and night club two step. Made out for a fun nite. Tonite we wil either go out to hull bay or back to the wyndham.

Songs we had them play?
Swampthing - the grid
sarah evans - suds in the bucket

along with a few others

Last nite went to hull bay. Band left the stage kind of early (9 ish?). They turned on the house music (via connected Ipod) so we made some requests. They were more than happy to play country music for us. We cleared some tables out and danced in the large cabana area adjacent to the bar. Did about 4 lines dances, a cha cha, 3 or 4 west coast, and 2-3 country two steps. A few of the people complimented us but none were brave enough to give it a try. Not yet anyways.

We are pretty determined to bring country dancing to the island. LOL!
